Interviewing children and young people during COVID-19

News 3 March 2021

COVID-19 has presented new challenges and opportunities to engage safely with children and young people when undertaking investigations of reportable conduct.

Organisations have asked us for guidance on how to conduct interviews during the pandemic, helping children and young people to participate meaningfully and safely.

The Commission has released new guidance highlighting key impacts of COVID-19 and issues to consider when planning and conducting reportable conduct interviews.

This guide has been developed in consultation with expert stakeholders and supplements the Commission’s other resources on including children and young people in reportable conduct investigations.
