New community to share learning about Child Safe Standards

The Commission for Children and Young People is inviting organisations covered by the Child Safe Standards to participate in a new Community of Practice.

Participation in the group is welcome from any employee or volunteer in an organisation required to comply with the Standards who is an appointed Child Safety Officer, or whose responsibilities include implementing the Standards, risk management, compliance, organisational child safeguarding or an equivalent role.

The Commission aims to provide a space for those who have been implementing the Standards to come together, share their experiences and expertise, and assist one another to more effectively keep children and young people safe and empowered wherever they live, learn and play.

The first meeting is planned to be held in March 2019.

If you are interested in participating in the Child Safe Standards Community of Practice facilitated by the Commission, you are invited to fill in the below ‘Expression of Interest’ survey below by Friday 1 March 2019 to assist in setting up the group.
